November Trestleboard Message

From the East

Brethren,

With our newly installed officers now in their respective stations and places, Manito Lodge No. 246 has begun another Masonic year of labor.

Thank you to every Brother who has stepped forward to serve the Lodge. Our strength depends not only on the officers in the chairs, but on the Brethren who attend, participate, practice the ritual, and support one another.

We are still working to schedule our upcoming Fellowcraft Degree and to make sure we are properly prepared to give our candidate the experience he deserves. If you can assist with the Second Degree and are not already in contact with him, please reach out to Worshipful Brother Jeff Galpin. Every Brother who can lend a hand helps us strengthen the work.

November Stated Communication

Please join us for our November Stated:

Monday, November 9, 2026
Dinner: 5:30 p.m.
Gavel: 6:30 p.m.

Our Audit Committee will present its report, and we will also discuss the proposed adjustment to our annual Lodge dues. Formal notice will be provided in advance of the anticipated vote at our December Stated Communication.

These are important matters for the Lodge, and I encourage every Brother to attend and take part in the discussion.

As we move into this new Masonic year, I also encourage each of us to remember that some of our most important work happens outside the formal business of Lodge. Reach out to a Brother you have not seen in a while. Help a newer Mason with his ritual. Stay for fellowship after Lodge.

Those small acts of Brotherly Love are what keep a Lodge strong.

If your cable-tow permits, I hope to see you on November 9.

May Brotherly Love prevail, and every moral and social virtue cement us.

Fraternally and sincerely,

Dainon Setzer
Worshipful Master
Manito Lodge No. 246, F&AM of Washington
