STATED MEETING – Monday, January 13, 2025

 Seasons Greetings, Brethren

 With the holiday season upon us, and the New Year just around the corner, it’s always a great time as Masons to reflect on how we’ve committed ourselves to our obligations this year and what additional ways we can spread light going forward.  It is always important to have a realistic but aspirational expectations for how we can better the lives of our families, friends, lodge brothers, and the world as a whole.  Remember you cannot fit more than 24 hours productivity into a single day, so have grace and patience with yourselves.

 Past Masters Night is coming up at our next meeting, a time when we usually have a lot of brothers who have already been through the chairs and dutifully served their lodge in attendance.  This is one of my favorite meetings every year, because each year has its own unique challenges and triumphs, and each Worshipful Master has his own way of addressing them.  What may have worked one year may not fit with the circumstances of another or the aesthetic of different leadership, but they all hold fast to Faith, Hope and Charity that never goes out of style.

As always, we have many opportunities coming up to serve your lodge and develop your own Masonic skill set.  We have some degree work forthcoming as well as the ritual competition, which is a great way to learn positions and ritual that you haven’t been exposed to yet.  Anyone interested in either of these is free to contact me, as we will always be looking to improve the initiatic experience at Manito.
